Outside of the lab, I am deeply passionate about music and the performing arts. I am an active musical theater actor in the Fudan University Musical Theater Society.
Expressing creativity on stage and collaborating with fellow performers brings me immense joy, and it continuously inspires my perspective on human-centered design and expressive interactions. To me, designing an interactive system is much like directing a play—it requires understanding the audience, choreographing the flow, and creating a memorable experience.
I love exploring the world and experiencing different cultures. My academic and personal journeys have taken me from the vibrant streets of Shanghai to the serene landscapes of Helsinki, and now to the windy city of Chicago.
Traveling not only broadens my horizons but also allows me to observe how people interact with technology and their environments across different cultural contexts. Whether it's wandering through local museums, trying new cuisines, or simply taking a walk in a new city, I enjoy capturing these moments and finding inspiration along the way.
